Round We Go & The Four Corner Technique

Have you ever been brainstorming and just not have those creativity juices flowing?  Well that was me last weekend when trying to design a card with the Round We Go stamp set.  I tried my favorite place for inspiration, Pinterest, but all of those ideas used the die set (which I don't have).  So I figured I would step away and come back to this task later.  Soooo, I decided to try a technique I had seen last Friday on my friend Patty Bennett's weekly live.  She created cards using the 4 Corner technique.  Then I had a lightbulb moment!  Why not  use the Round We Go stamp set to make cards using the 4 Corner technique! So I gave it a try and I was so excited at how the cards turned out.

You can watch my video below to see the steps for creating this fun and easy technique to make 4 quick cards.  Here are the specific measurements for the two cards I made in the video.

Card #1

  • Card base: 11" x 4 1/4" card stock scored at 5 1/2"
  • Layer #1: 5 1/4" x 4" card stock
  • Layer #2: 5" x 3 3/4" stamped card stock (1 of the 4 panels from the 4 corner sheet of card stock)

Card #2

  • Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card stock scored at 4 1/4"
  • Layer #1: 5 1/4" x 4" card stock
  • Layer #2: 5" x 3 3/4" stamped card stock (1 of the 4 panels from the 4 corner sheet of card stock)

If you want to check out the live from Patty that inspired me to create these cards using this technique you can find it here.
