Stampin' Up! Kit Collection: Card Keeper Kit

Looking for a way to store and organize the cards you create?  Stampin' Up! has a fantastic and beautiful card keeper in a stunning Night of Navy.  It is the Card Keeper kit of the Kits Collections.  This card keeper is a very study and roomy box with a lid.  It will make a great gift, I know I have someone in mind to receive the box I made. :)

Today I will be sharing with you 4 cards I made with the kit; two cards are made following the instructions that come with the kit an the other two are alternate cards using additional Stampin' Up! product.  All the details for the alternate cards are listed next to the picture of the card.

Card Keeper Kit: The box is approximately 8 1/4" L x 6" H x 6" D

These are the two cards created when following the included directions provided in the kit.

Alternate card #1 is using Flirty Flamingo card stock as the card base.  It is 11" x 4 1/4". The Pool Party dotted card front from the kit is used along with circles embossed with the Dotted Circle embossing folder and cut out with the circles from Stylish Shapes.  The sentiment in the corner and on the banner, also Stylish Shapes, are from the upcoming Spring Corners stamp set.  It will be available in the Online Exclusives starting January 7, 2025.  Adhesive Backed Dots for Days embellishments were used too.

Alternate card #2 uses Pool Party as the card base, 8 1/2" x  5 1/2".  The card front with Flirty Flamingo and Pool Party flowers is used and then embellished with Wink of Stella on the flower petals and Brushed Brass Butterflies strategically placed.

A Little Bit Festive Christmas Fun Fold

Right now the song "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" has taken up rent in my thoughts.  We are 15 days away and I have a list 2.5 miles long but here I sit having fun creating cards with my A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty paper from Stampin' Up!™.  By the way this wonderful pack of paper and ephemera is on sale and on the Last Chance Product list, normally $10 but on sale for $8.  Grab it now because when they run out they will not restock it in the store.

I created a fun fold card using a layout by Jill of Paper Daisy Crafting in the UK. This is fun size card that is 4"x6".  Due to them being this larger than standard US size I purchased special A6 envelopes from Amazon.  Here for a link to the ones I purchased, A6 Envelopes.  I also used the Christmas Labels stamp set, which is also on the Last Chance Product list, Christmas Labels.

Details:

Card base: 9" x 6"  scored at 1 7/8" and 4 7/8"
Pattern Paper: 2 3/4" x 5 7/8" *  (exterior left panel)
                                  1 3/4" x 5 7/8"  (exterior center panel)                                                      1 1/4" x 5 7/8" * (right panel on interior white)
Interior:  Basic White 4" x 5 7/8"

* Tip:  If you want to use the same pattern paper like I have in the photos I found it easier to cut it as a 4" x 5 7/8" then cut into two pieces.

Reindeer Days Happy Holiday Card

Today's card from my Fun Friday live features the Reindeer Days pattern paper from Stampin' Up! and all four of the "dashes & dots" circle dies in the Spotlight on Nature Die set.  This entire holiday season I have struggled with using the reindeer side of this pattern paper so I challenged myself and this is the layout I came up with.  I believe there is a sketch out there somewhere similar to this due to the three circles but I don't recall where I may have seen it (probably on Pinterest 😊).  I hope you enjoy the card.  All the measurements and instructions are listed below and in the video. Have a wonderful day!

  • Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (score at 4 1/4")
  • Layer #1: 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" (Two-tone card stock embossed & sanded)
  • Layer #2: 2 3/4" circle (2nd largest dashes & dots) card stock for sentiment

  • Layer #4: 1 5/8" circle pattern paper & 1 1/8" same card stock as sentiment

Teach it Tuesday: Stocking Stuffer & Mini Candy Packages

Well Christmas is right around the corner which means stocking stuffers and little thought gifts will be needed.  Tammy and I decided to focus on giving you some ideas during our Teach It Tuesday this week.  My fun small candy packet is a great idea that I saw a fellow demonstrator make and then I adjusted it.  The idea came from Connie Stewart of Simply Simple Stamping, Holiday Day Treat Bags.  Hers are with 6 candies but I wanted something smaller.  So I played around with measurements and came up with what I have here today, a 3 candy treat package.  I used the Hershey's Miniatures but I bet you could use any other small candy in it.  Some suggestions that came up in my live yesterday include the small Ghirardelli squares, mini Dove chocolates or even the Hershey Nuggets although those might be a bit to thick.

Here are the measurements you need to create this candy holder.

  • Base:  7" x 3 5/8" scored at 1 1/2" on the short side
  • Front square:  Card stock 3 3/8" x 3 3/8"                                                          Pattern paper 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
  • Back square:   Card stock 3 1/8" X 3 1/8"                                                                   Pattern paper 3 3/8" x 3 3/8"
  • Topper (front & back):  Card stock 3 3/8" x 1 1/4" (2)                                                          Pattern Paper 3 1/4" x 1 1/8" (2)
  • Sentiment:  Card stock 7/8" x 2 3/4"
  • Scrap for candy:  3/4" x 2 3/4"
  • Clear Bag for candy: 3 1/2" x 5"  Cello Bag from Amazon
