Memorable Blooms in Classic Black & White

The last Thursday of each month I participate in an Instagram Hop for the Stampin' Up! group I belong to, Luv 2 Stamp.  Everyone of us in the group is an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  I love belonging to this group because we encourage, inspire and support each other in our stamping adventures.  Today I am sharing with you and others a card I made using the classic colors of black and white with the Memorable Blooms bundle.  There is no video for this card but I have included a picture of the card, measurements and step by step instructions.  I was inspired by a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

Details/Measurements:

  • Card base: Thick White cards stock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" along long side.
  • Layer #1: Basic Black card stock 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
  • Layer #2: Three (3) 5/8" x 6" strips of the black and white dash pattern from Mixed Media Floral DSP.
  • Layer #3: Basic White cards stock 4"x4"
  • Layer #4: Basic Black card stock 4"x4"
  • Sentiment: Basic White 3" x 2"
  • Embellishments: Adhesive backed Sparkle Gems
  • Adhesive: Multi-purpose glue & Foam Adhesive sheets

How to Assemble:

  1. Fold and burnish your card base.
  2. For Layer #1 you will need to adhere the 3 strips to the 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" black panel.  Glue them at an angle starting at the bottom right corner.  Start the first piece about 1/2" from the corner and space them apart 1/2".  Cut off the parts of the strips that hang over the sides of the black
  3. Die cut out of the white 4'x4" card stock the hexagon die from the Memorable Blooms bundle.
  4. Center the hexagon die on the black 4"x4" card stock and then in the center of hexagon attach the floral hexagon.  Secure them to the card stock with a low tack tape of some kind (either washi tape or I use Post it flags).  Die cut this piece out.
  5. Adhere with multi-purpose glue the black floral hexagon to the white hexagon. Set aside to dry.
  6. Center layer #1 to the front of the card base.
  7. Stamp the sentiment on the 3" x 2" white card stock and die cut out using the oval die from The Greetings of the Season die set.
  8. With the foam adhesive sheets attach the floral hexagon to the card front about 1" from the bottom and centered left to right.
  9. Glue the sentiment to the black layer in the upper left of the card front.
  10. Embellish with the Sparkle Gems.  I used a black one to cover the hole left by the die.

I hope this card inspires you to create with the Memorable Bloom bundle!  You can order all of these supplies by clicking on the items below.

Scrapbooking Trio - Meant to Bee!

Welcome to Scrapbooking Trio session number two!  I hope you had a chance to watch all three presentations today, if not I have provided links below to Patty & Tammy's blogs.  We thought yesterday's presentation would be fun to combine sharing more about ourselves with the the Meant to Bee scrapbooking workshop kit.  As before, Patty did her presentation using layout number 1; Tammy used layout number 2 for her presentation and I used layout number 3!

Stampin' Up! scrapbooking workshop kits make it so easy to scrapbook!  They are perfect for every one from the beginner to the expert.  If you are a beginner, or returning like me after many years, the kits have layouts for you to follow exactly or even use as a springboard of ideas.  If you are an expert you can set those aside and just create till your heart's content.  I have found that the layouts are great and very easy to adjust if you don't have the exact sizes of photos the recommend or have designated for the page you are creating.

2025 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration with Day to Celebrate!

Since there are only 9 days left in the 2025 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration* promotion Tammy and I figured it would be fun to do an "Anything Goes" Teach it Tuesday yesterday.  So I combined 3 of the sale-a-bration items you can earn for free.  I can't wait to show you what I made using the Day to Celebrate stamp set, Toadstool Gardens pattern paper and the Purple Adhesive Sequins.

I just love the bright colors I used for this card, and they are not my "normal" colors.  If you know me I love all the blues and I am not a pink person.  Well, this card definitely took me out of my color comfort zone and I am really happy with the results.  The colors I used are Melon Mambo, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green and Pretty in Pink.

I love using the larger stamps to create my own pattern paper as you will see me do in my video. Check out that fun "technique".

Everyday Arches & Pick a Season Valentine's Day Card

Happy Valentine's Day...well almost! In yesterday's Teach it Tuesday with Tammy & Jennie we decided to share with you Valentine's Day cards using fun items you can earn for free during the 2025 Sale-a-Bration promotion from Stampin' Up!.  I combined a several products to create a new and bigger version of the Garden Meadow fun fold I did back in September of 2024.  From here on out I will call it an Arches Fun Fold card.

I used a combination of Online Exclusives, January/April Mini catalog and Sale-a-bration products.  The Everyday Arches are an online exclusive, sentiment and punch are from the Jan/April 2025 mini catalog.  The Sale-a-Bration product I featured is the Pick the Season stamp set.  So fun and versatile.  It can be used for other holidays like St. Patrick's Day and Easter.

Card Making Magic - Scrapbook Kits to Cards

I'm not sure about you but I love to get the most bang for my buck.  With the new scrapbooking kits from Stampin' Up! you can definitely get more bang for your buck.  If you find you don't need all 3 lay outs you can use the remainder of the paper, stickers, and other pieces to create cards.  This week that is what Tammy and I did for our Teach it Tuesday.  Below I will share with you the two cards I have made, I will also share below a couple of links to my friends, Patty and Tammy, so you can see the cards they made with their "leftovers" from the Everyday You and Me scrapbooking kit.

Before I get to the nitty gritty of the cards I have to share something with you that I just discovered.  Here is a picture of my dog's color, tell me if I am wrong but I believe it coordinates rather well with the color scheme in this scrapbooking kit!  LOL

Details for the "Grateful for You" card:

  • Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (scored at 4 1/4")
  • Layer #1: 4" x 5 1/4" Two tone card stock
  • Layer #2: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" pattern paper
  • Layer #3: Sticker from kit 5 1/8" long
  • Layer #4: 2 1/2" circle Two tone card stock
  • Layer #5: 2 1/4" circle white card stock
  • Interior: 4" x 5 1/4" white card stock

Details for the "So Much Joy" card

Card base: 11" x 4 1/4" (scored at 5 1/2")
Layer #1: 5 1/4" x 4" white card stock
               14 - 16 strips of 1/2" x 6" pattern paper*
Layer #2: 1 7/8" square (used Stylish Shapes)
Interior: 5 1/4" x 4" white and one 1/2" x 6" strip pattern paper

* To attach the strips you will want to go to the right starting on the right side of the center square.  In my video you will notice that I went to left which resulted in me having to piece the last side together awkwardly.  If you go to the right then all the pieces should fall into place perfectly fine.

For more tips in making these two cards you can watch the video!
